Happy Holidays, One and All!
This is the time of year to pause and reflect, and perhaps cringe, at all that has passed in the past year. For our family it's been one of changes, big and small.
For instance, at the beginning of the year, we bought a house, and it only took us nearly 3 months to do it!
We also spent a month frantically renovating it to liberate it from it's 3 year occupation by creatures large and small. We couldn't have made the transition without a great deal of help from friends and family (thanks, guys & gals!) Once we were into the new place we just tried to get settled as quickly as possible and then spent the summer recovering.
In the Fall the girls went back to school, M to 2nd Grade and K started Kindergarten. They were so excited. They really love their teachers and friends at school. I have loved having a little time to myself as well as having more of a chance to be involved at the school. It's amazing how quickly the day evaporates with both of them busy at school and with homework.
One of the best big changes this year was when Big D finished his MBA and graduated from Pepperdine. We are all so proud of his big accomplishment and it has been great to have him home more. We are taking full advantage of Daddy's attention as much as we can.
On the whole it has been a wild ride, with beautiful views as well as plenty of bumps along the way. As we've come screeching to a halt at the very end we're so very grateful for all the friends and family with whom we've shared the journey. We're very blessed and grateful for all of the ups as well as the downs.
We look forward to the new year (with only a little fear and trepidation), and lots of hope for another exciting adventure.
